## ‭(Hidden)‬ what we are learning...

THIRD QUARTER

5th Grade Math- Module 3-Rational Numbers Apply and extend previous understandings of numbers to the system of rational numbers Understand a rational number as a point on the number line. Understand that positive and negative numbers are used together to describe quantities having opposite directions or values. 8 Solve real-world and mathematical problems by graphing points in all four quadrants of the coordinate plane. How to write the opposite of an opposite number/intergersgoogle class code: t086thb 4th Grade Math We will begin Module 3-Addition and subtraction of fractions.  Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators (including mixed numbers) by replacing given fractions with equivalent fractions in such a way as to produce an equivalent sum or difference of fractions with like denominators. Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of fractionsgoogle class code: h83sarz 5th Grade LA We will work on a human body ELA project to tie in IB planners. 3rd Grade Math Students will be working on solidifying understanding of multiplication and division. We will work on Engage NY Module-3 Muliplication  Our main emphasis will be exploring area as an atribute of two dimensional figures and relate it to prior understanding of multiplication.

WordMasters Challenge
Each grade level will participate in our WordMasters Challenge (Participants will either choose the Blue or Gold list)

Wordmaster lists can be found on Quizlet.com under carey moler-class
