The Power of STEAM

The goal of this program is to provide students with opportunities to enhance their skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, curiosity, decision making and leadership.  This aligns well with Eagleview's Arts program and Air Academy's STEAM program. 

WRE believes that STEAM is key for the future of our students to enhance their knowledge in STEAM subjects while inspiring and empowering them to pursue STEAM careers.  WRE’s STEAM lab would not replace any of our current programs such as International Baccalaureate (IB), but only further strengthen those programs.  This will serve as an exploratory during school hours as well as an after-school enrichment opportunity.

Goals

• Install a state-of-the-art STEAM lab through STEM Education Works in the 2023-24 school year.  Learn more about STEM Education Works on their website. 

• Raise funds to cover costs for curriculum, furniture, equipment, learning kits, implementation fees, professional development and training.

Contribute to our STEAM program

  • Many companies have matching gift programs that will double your donation. If you made a donation to the Wildcat Dash ask your company to match your gift!

  • Many grants require an invitation from businesses.  Ask any contacts that may have an association with a business that supports STEAM in schools.
